Every Friday clubfoot clinic occurs. The therapy staff have been trained on how to cast using the poinsetti casting method. We currently have about 8 children coming weekly for clubfoot casting. Last month all the new volunteers completed the casting training. This is one of my favorite educations as it requires each of the students to have a cast put on to feel what a cast feels like as well as get a cast cut off which can be scary. I feel like this is important activity so that the volunteer and therapy staff can relate to what the child is feeling and what the parents are also going through.
