CHURCH TEAM DAY 6-7

CAP HAITIAN
(FYI: I failed at taking ALOT of pictures during our time in Cap Haitian. I went into REST/RELAX...enjoy my family mode as I was no longer in charge of the team :-)

OMS SEMINARY- MATT and STACEY AYERS
It was so wonderful for both of our churches to Meet and spend time with Matt and Stacey Ayers and their beautiful children. They run and serve at OMS Seminary in cap Haitian. This is an incredible school that is training and empowering young men passionate for the Lord to be leaders and pastors in their communities around Haiti. Our church has been supporting them for the past 10 years. It was such a blessing that we were able to spend time seeing their ministry and passion first hand as well!

The teams time there was much more relaxed which was needed. When the team first arrived they were able to see our Spinal Cord Injury Friend 1 last time as we got him and his dad on the final leg of their journey to the inpatient Rehab Center in Cap Haitian. The Rehab Center sent there ambulance to the Seminary to pick him up. This sweet boy and his dad were such troopers as they did the overnight midnight bus to Gonaive with me...then got on tap-tap to Cap Haitian to Seminary. They got a shower, ate, and napped while they waited on the ambulance to come. So cool to see God open all the doors to allow this to happen.

We had a wonderful evening with the seminary students teaching them English (helping them practice their English) and at the same time getting to know some of the students. It was a wonderful evening.

FOOTPRINTS OF THE SON
Thursday we did head to a ministry called Footprints of the Son a ministry that a few of us love and support. Heather and Papito the founders both worked at the Miriam Center for a few years before getting married and moving back to Papito's home town in Tierrer Rouge where they started an outreach program which expanded into an integrative school for both handicap and normal developing children in their community. They have been adding 1 classroom per year. It was truly incredible to spend the day there seeing it all in action. It was Mardi Gra and so we got to party alongside the kids. Personally I loved getting to love on Petey and Christ-Jerry there 2 special needs sons who I adore!

After all the kids left school we all sat down and ate a picnic lunch and then Heather and Papito shared with the group their story!

After that the therapy crew went on 2 homevisits to fit 2 kids with AFO (Foot braces)

Then it was time to say goodbye to my dear friends! So glad my church and family got to see your ministry first hand!
