The first Friday of July we held the biggest event we have ever held for outreach which was Graduation for 45 kids (38 showed up) and we had over 320 people attending the event. Graduation day is a day to celebrate the therapy progress ALL children in outreach program made the year before not just the kids graduating. Because we had so many graduates we had to have 2 separate ceremonies to hand out certificates. First was therapy graduation kids that reached their highest level of functioning that our therapy program could facilitate received their diplomas and gifts. We then handed out attendance prizes for the parents who had perfect or almost perfect attendance for therapy the year before. We handed out 35 prizes (solar lights and flashlights). We then moved on to celebrating the milestones the kids that were not graduating reached. Parents were asked to stand if there child reach that developmental milestone the last year acknowledging growth and progress. It was a joy to watch the parents faces as they proudly stood up. We then moved to second graduation which was graduation for the Ricket Vitamin Program. This was the first year we had graduation for this program. The Ricket Vitamin Program was created after seeing a great need and having 40+ kids with bow legs and knock-knees. They come monthly and receive daily vitamins (calcium, Vitamin D, and Moringa vitamin). We had 12 kids graduate from this program as the vitamins had done their job and their legs had straightened out. We ended graduation sharing a meal together. The day before graduation we decorated the church and pre-made all the spam for the spamwiches! So thankful for all the help of NWHCM interns and all the outreach staff.

All the graduates came and got checked in, dressed and pictures taken before the ceremony! Loved seeing how excited everyone was. The pictures don't show the excitement as "Hatians take serious pictures on big occasions.
