SHELLY VISIT

The Miriam Center (especially the therapy staff) were super blessed in July to have Shelly (a Pediatric PT) come and spend a week at the MC. She spent a lot of time teaching and training my staff, students, and volunteers on new skills and helping at the clinic. She learned from us and we learned from her. It was an amazing week. Thank you shelly! We sure hope you come back soon!

She got to learn clubfoot casting and be my second set of hands for the morning

She helped make a wheelchair for one of the older outreach teenagers that has severe scoliosis. she has had no way to sit up or a chair ever. What a blessing her expertise was in taking an old wheelchairs and adapting it.

She also helped us Friday morning with a outreach building day. She learned how to make  also learned how to make some of our adaptive equipment that we make bucket chairs and PVC standers.

She did 3 days of teaching and training with my staff and volunteers!

She Also worked on a new wheelchair for Walden. You could say he was EXCITED!

And Tamara even got a new chair so her feet no longer dragged on the ground :-)

It was truly a WONDERFUL WEEK!
