MIRIAM CENTER SUMMER FUN!!!!

I was only in Haiti at the Miriam Center a few weeks of the summer but I was able to set up a fun summer Routine that was a guarantee the kids and staff would both have a chance to enjoy some summer fun.

This summer we started out the morning similar to last summer in a group setting where we had Devotions/Prayer with the kids followed by a workout time alternating between YOGARILLA, Theraband kids program, dance party, or video workout. The kids then split into 3 groups.

GROUP 1- The Itty Bitts
They stayed in the in BIG room and had a schedule that made su
re they got stretched, massaged, braces put on then alternating between stander time, swings, and tummy time. While having music going.

GROUP 2 and 3- Sensory and Older Kids
1 group headed to the classroom for an hour of Arts and Crafts while the other group headed to the Patio for water play, sandbox play, trampoline fun, scooter board, soccer, swings, sidewalk chalk and a 2-3 other activities that changed per day. We had a big Sandbox and water play barrel built to add to summer fun and let me tell you the kid LOVED it and from what I hear never got tired of playing with them all summer....lol
