Finally got the Miriam Center Highlight Therapy Video for 2014 up. This video shows the progress of the Miriam Home children with therapy this past year. It is a fun video that shows my passion with therapy and what I do in Haiti on a daily basis!!!
The Miriam Center exists to provide the best care possible for 38 children and adults living with disabilities who need a home outside of their family due to death, unsafe living environment and/or abandonment. The Miriam Center offers an identity to each child in our care while loving them unconditionally. Our goal is to allow them the pleasure of being children, regardless of their limitations, and to raise them up as individuals as they grow into God-centered adults.
One important aspect to their ability to thrive is providing therapy. Each child at the Miriam Center receives 1 hour of 1:1 therapy per week in the therapy room. They also attend school during the day 5 days a week. This video is a highlights of the therapy aspect of the Miriam Center from 2014.
