When we started the new outreach program in June one of the things we added was Educational Friday's the first Friday of each month. This is a time for all the parents to come together for community as well as a time to educate the parents and share the gospel with them. We start each education with worship, Bible study and prayers. Then we have the education. At the end of each educational event we provide a light lunch. It truly is a good time of fellowship.
June: The mission doctor shared about when to bring your child to clinic and basic first aid. We provided each family with 2 packets of oral rehydration packets for if their child gets sick to keep them hydrated
July: what ZIKA is, Basic Hygiene and each family was given 2 bars of soap to take home
August: Contracture prevention, Stretching, Bed Sores, Positioning
September-: Aspiration, safe positioning for feeding
October: Seizures (special speakers Gail and Carol from Cincinnati Children's hospital).
